Orphaned as a child in feudal Japan, Azumi (Aya Ueto) is raised by a master assassin with just one purpose: to kill upon command, anytime, anywhere. In a risky bid to restore peace to a war-torn nation, the shogun orders Azumi and her fellow assassins to eliminate several rival warlords.
