When American professor David Pollock (Gregory Peck) deciphers a cryptic ancient Arabic text, he suddenly finds himself entangled in a labyrinthine plot to assassinate a foreign head of state, with femme fatale Yasmin (Sophia Loren) offering him her dubious help. With killers on his trail and an untrustworthy companion, Pollock must discover why the message in the text is worth killing for. Stanley Donen directs this stylish mod thriller.
