Although his real name is America, high school football star Ricky Brown (Ryan Kwanten) knows nothing about the world but the gridiron and small-town Texas, a lack he hopes to change by moving to New York and finding his former mentor, John Cross (Hill Harper), who's now a renegade priest. Ricky desperately wants to find direction and shake off the tragic memories of his brother's death, but is salvation in the Big Apple ... or is it in himself?
