Almost Strangers

Writer-director Stephen Poliakoff's affecting drama has a young man, Daniel (Matthew Macfadyen), discovering just how close -- or not -- his extended family is at a long-awaited reunion in London. Enchanted by the glamour and wealth of his hereto estranged relatives, he sets about trying to repair some of the fractured relationships but ends up getting entangled in the politics of kinship himself.
