When the heir (Ryan Gosling) to a New York real estate fortune becomes entangled in the mystery surrounding the disappearance of his lover (Kirsten Dunst), he might lose everything in this drama set in the 1980s and inspired by the true story of real estate scion Robert Durst. While the detective on the case (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) discovers unexpected evidence -- which turns up the political heat -- people with ties to the case begin to die.
