Hume Cronyn and Vincent Gardenia earned Emmys for their superb performances in this made-for-cable feature about growing old with dignity. The story centers on feisty John Cooper (Cronyn), who must decide whether to move in with his daughter or remain in a retirement home to help his progressively senile best friend (Gardenia). Esther Rolle and Tandy Cronyn (daughter of Hume and venerated actress Jessica Tandy) also star.
