Based on Martha Ostenso's award-winning novel Wild Geese, this made-for-TV drama stars Sam Shepard as Caleb Gare, a tyrannical Canadian farmer whose desire for land motivates him to treat his family like slave labor. When an enigmatic new schoolteacher named Linda Archer (Liane Balaban) comes to town, Caleb finds the stranglehold he's always had on his children coming to an abrupt yet certain end.
