In the politically turbulent Hong Kong of the 1960s, Huang (Maggie Cheung) is a stunning, upwardly mobile young woman with acting ambitions. She finds love in an unexpected place when she moves into the apartment below a working-class, unlicensed cab driver (Kenny Bee). Asian superstar Cheung (Chinese Box) won the Best Actress award at the 1990 Hong Kong Film Festival for her performance in this Anthony Chan-directed film.
