Three connected stories explore the trauma and emotional legacy of the World Trade Center attacks through the lives of six ordinary people in this moving dramatic montage. On September 11, 2001, a shoemaker (Danny Aiello) anxious to close up early is harangued by a woman (Judith Light) desperate to have her broken sole fixed; three months later, a cabbie and his fare discuss life; and a year after the attacks, a new couple talks about the event.
