Cultures clash in Ken Loach's thoughtful drama about a romance between an Irish Catholic woman and a man from a devout Muslim family. When Casim (Atta Yaqub), a Pakistani living in Glasgow, meets Roisin (Eva Birthistle), a Caucasian teacher at Casim's sister's school, the two fall deeply in love. But their families soon learn of the relationship, and the couple must deal with severe repercussions as they confront their disapproving kin.
