Sifting through the wreckage of two jumbo jets, Bill Smith (Kris Kristofferson), chief investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board, uncovers a strange, alien device. Mysterious clues and the cryptic warning of flight attendant Louise (Cheryl Ladd) lead Smith to a startling discovery: Louise has come from the future to repopulate her dying civilization by abducting doomed passengers. Adapted from John Varley's short story "Air Raid."
