A companion piece to HBO's hit Band of Brothers, this miniseries follows three World War II Marines -- Eugene Sledge (Joseph Mazzello), Robert Leckie (James Badge Dale) and John Basilone (Jon Seda) -- through harrowing battles in the Pacific theater, including Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman produced the show, which is based on memoirs by Sledge and Leckie.
