Stage and screen star Fanny Brice -- the charismatic chanteuse famously portrayed by Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl and later in Funny Lady -- steals the show in this 1930s comedy about a nightclub singer who falls for a boxer (Robert Armstrong). Five rousing musical numbers include "When a Woman Loves a Man," a song co-written by Brice's husband, famed lyricist Billy Rose.
