A selfish young man named Micah (Edmund Purdom), restless living in the country with his father, runs away to Damascus, where he's led astray by pagan priestess Samarra (Lana Turner). Penniless and enslaved, Micah leads a rebellion against Samarra, eventually returning to the simple life in his father's home. Louis Calhern, Audrey Dalton and Neville Brand co-star in this lavish adaptation of one of the Old Testament's most recognized stories.
