Paul Newman stars in this Hitchcock-style thriller about a Nobel Prize winner who gets caught up in an international incident while attending the awards ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden. When fellow Nobel laureate physicist Max Stratman (Edward G. Robinson) appears markedly different on author Andrew Craig's (Newman) second meeting with him, Craig begins to believe the real physicist has been kidnapped. Elke Sommers plays Craig's lovely assistant.
