Duet for One

When it rains it pours -- or so it must seem to concert violinist Stephanie Anderson (Julie Andrews, in a Golden Globe-nominated performance) as she succumbs to multiple sclerosis while her conductor husband (Alan Bates) is cheating on her. If that weren't bad enough, her star pupil, Constantine Kassanis (Rupert Everett), is poised to abandon her. Max von Sydow plays the psychiatrist helping Stephanie cope with it all in this stylish tearjerker.
