The third film of director Renato Castellani's "young love" trilogy, this poignant drama -- filmed on location in Naples, Italy -- tells the story of star-crossed lovers. Carmela (Maria Fiore) and Antonio (Vincenzo Musolino) want to marry, but their parents disapprove. Undeterred, the lovers reject their families in a move that could lead to tragedy. The film received a BAFTA nomination and won the Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
