It's been decades since a group of friends achieved mythical success by winning the high school state basketball championships against all odds. As they gather for a reunion, each brings along some baggage: George (Tony Shalhoub) is running for reelection as mayor; Phil (Vincent D'Onofrio) is a big-shot entrepreneur who's empty inside; James (Terry Kinney) is bitter that he's not rich and famous; and Tom (Gary Sinise) has a drinking problem.
