Medea

Medea (a 5th-century B.C. Greek play by Euripides) is the story of a woman who gets mad at her husband and kills her children in reprisal. Legendary opera diva Maria Callas is perfectly cast as the titular murderess in this film version of the classic. Director Pier Paolo Pasolini takes the helm as Giuseppe Gentili (as Medea's husband Jason) and Massimo Girotti (as Medea's father, King Creon) also star.
