Eric Roberts stars as one of five members of a U.S. karate team that's handpicked to compete in an international martial arts competition in South Korea. As the team members become distracted by personal problems and racial tensions during their preparation for the big showdown, their coach (James Earl Jones) urges them to keep it together and support one another. Also stars Sally Kirkland and Phillip Rhee (who co-wrote the screenplay).
