In Three Smart Girls, sisters Penny (Deanna Durbin), Joan (Nan Grey) and Kay (Barbara Read) travel to New York on behalf of their heartbroken, divorced mother, intent on stopping the wedding of their father to a new woman. In Something in the Wind, Mary Collins (Deanna Durbin), a disc jockey on radio station WFOB's morning show, is mistaken for her elderly aunt of the same name … who, it turns out, was a kept woman!
