Even though he's getting a bit long in the tooth, Sonny Hooper (Burt Reynolds) knows he's still the greatest stuntman in the world. That changes, though, when young daredevil Ski Chinski (Jan-Michael Vincent) begins performing bolder and more dangerous stunts. Thus begins the rivalry that drives this late-1970s action-comedy, which reunites Reynolds with Smokey and the Bandit co-star Sally Field and director Hal Needham.
