In this sequel to the 1970s tearjerker Love Story, based on Erich Segal's novel, Oliver Barrett IV (Ryan O'Neal) is mourning the death of his young wife when he meets someone new who restores his faith in love. But Marcie Bonwit (Candice Bergen) is also heartbroken and starting over after a painful divorce, and though they may be hopeful, they're also both cautious.
