It's Mitch Robbins's (Billy Crystal) 40th birthday, and things go from bad to worse when he returns home from the radio station to find his slacker brother Glen (Jon Lovitz) stretched out on the sofa. But Mitch gets a real birthday present when he discovers the treasure map of Curly (Jack Palance). Together with Mitch's best friend, Phil (Daniel Stern), Mitch and Glen take off to find Curly's hidden cache of gold in the Arizona desert.
