Ciao! Manhattan
(1973)|
Ostensibly a documentary about Andy Warhol Factory girl Edie Sedgwick, this film is more like a scripted drama in which all the actors play themselves. Originally only superficially a chronicle of Edie's days at the Factory, Ciao! Manhattan has become one of the most insightful looks at New York's "Silver Sixties" period and the horrible fallout that followed. Shocking, entertaining and moving, it's a seminal piece of 1960s cinema.
