Hercule Poirot is called in to investigate a case for an insurance company regarding an important diamond sent to the company to be insured. Poirot discovers that the diamond was bought for the wealthy, arrogant Arlena Marshall, who's on her honeymoon with her husband and stepdaughter at a tropical island hotel. When Arlena turns up dead, Poirot discovers that even among the rich and famous, murder never takes a holiday.
