In this first sequel to The Swordsman, Jet Li takes over the role originally played by Jacky Cheung. The intrepid swordsman Ling (Li) searches once more for the sacred scrolls -- but this time, he finds himself in the middle of a war between two clans when Master Wu, chief of Ling's Sun Moon Sect, is kidnapped by Master Asia, who also happens to possess the aforementioned scrolls.
