Independent film favorite Hal Hartley directs this trio of shorts about the ups and downs of love. The main featurette, Surviving Desire, is a critically acclaimed romantic comedy about what happens when disillusioned college professor Jude (Martin Donovan) falls hard for Sofie (Mary Ward), one of his literature students. Also included are two other lesser known -- but no less quirky -- Hartley works, Theory of Achievement and Ambition.
