Motown mogul Berry Gordy produced this all-purpose pastiche of 1970s and 1980s pop culture, which features martial arts, funk, blaxploitation, disco and recording star (and former Prince girl) Vanity. The plot concerns Bruce Lee wannabe Leroy Green (Taimak), who must protect Vanity from a gang boss (Julius J. Carry). Directed by Michael Schultz (who also directed Car Wash), the film features the screen debut of Chazz Palminteri.
