This all-star epic takes place in Peking during the infamous Boxer Rebellion of 1900. Chinese nationals, angry at the presence of foreigners on their soil, have attacked a group of embassies. Major Matt Lewis (Charlton Heston) and his soldiers arrive to help the group trapped in the embassy compound as they await reinforcements. Tensions are high as soldiers, diplomats and their families unite for survival. Ava Gardner and David Niven costar.
