With the peaceful planet of Akir in peril, seven mercenaries join forces to protect it from the plottings of an intergalactic megalomaniac (John Saxon) in this Roger Corman-produced sci-fi fantasy inspired by The Seven Samurai. With art direction from James Cameron and a score by composer James Horner -- who would later reteam with Cameron to win an Oscar for Titanic -- this 1980s classic stars Richard Thomas, George Peppard and Sybil Danning.
