Doing their part to revive stand-up comedy's heyday, four African-American comedians -- Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley and Bernie Mac -- launched a comedy tour that turned into the highest-grossing tour of its kind to date. Director Spike Lee, who shot the film over two nights in 2000 in Charlotte, N.C., refrains from meddling and lets the comics' brilliant performances -- which are not for innocent ears -- steal the show.
