Re-edited by director Russell Mulcahy, this sequel to the cult classic sci-fi action film largely discards the original's premise. Instead of being mysterious immortal swordsmen, Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) and Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobo Ramirez (Sean Connery) are revealed to be long-lived aliens. Reunited, the pair now battle an evil corporate cartel bent on dominating an ozone-depleted Earth's dwindling natural resources.
