Eddie (Whoopi Goldberg) channels her late husband's passion for basketball by coaching inner-city kids and cheering the New York Knicks, who are plagued by a losing streak. In a quirky twist, Eddie becomes the Knicks' new coach and promptly whips them into shape. Guest appearances by few National Basketball Association players, including Dennis Rodman, John Salley, Malik Sealy and Spud Webb, make this sports comedy a slam-dunk.
