In the wake of a massive plague that destroyed civilized society, Sarah (Azura Skye) discovers she's pregnant and prepares to give birth, knowing that her baby will be the first newborn the planet has seen in 15 years. Utterly alone in her quest to deliver to term, she keeps her hope afloat through the voice of a renegade radio broadcaster (Joshua Leonard) who eventually joins her on a journey that will take them both into unknown territory.
