Loosely based on The Prince and the Pauper, this winning comedy tells the story of Ballu (Arshad Warsi), a cabbie who continually fights with his father, and Rahul (Chandrachur Singh), a wealthy expatriate whose grandfather (Pran) has rejected India. When Rahul visits India and meets Ballu, the two decide to trade places. Soon they both fall in love, and Ballu finds himself trying to save Rahul's embattled company from a power-hungry manager.
