An explosion traps a group of commuters, including outdoorsman Roy Nord (Viggo Mortensen), in a tunnel 72 feet beneath the Hudson River. Former Medical Services chief Kit Latura (Sylvester Stallone) races against time, desperate to save the trapped survivors before water flowing into the tunnel drowns them.
